You will not be sorry when you go check out this video over on Mind of a Mom’s blog. She posted it some time back and I’ve been meaning to post it here, but I can’t seem to find a non-shockwave version of the video on YouTube. And WordPress doesn’t play nice with shockwave. So go check it out, you’ll be glad you did. This young lady is an astonishing artist and it’s not often you get the chance to see someone’s art move people to tears.
And I’m sorry for letting this sit in my drafts folder for so long!
Turns out my friend YellowCat found a WP compatible video that she posted on her blog. I don’t know how she did it, because I still can’t – so you have your choice of blogs to watch on now, or you can go to YouTube. YouTube Sand Art

Finally, out of sheer, unadulterated boredom, I got my husband to watch Gone With the Wind with me. The library finally had a copy, there was absolutely nothing on TV, and he was in a willing frame of mind. He laughed at some parts, like when Melanie was about to die, because of the melodramatic way she dropped her head into Mammy’s arms. This is the 1st time I’ve seen it in like a dozen years or so, and I watch movies with different eyes now than I did before, thanks in part to my husband. I don’t care for “rom-coms” and I’m not heavily into chick clicks that much, so I don’t place a lot of movie demands on him that way. This was the 1st time he’s ever seen the movie, and now that whole scene with Carol Burnett with the dress with the curtain rod running through it took on a whole new meaning for him. It was a lot of fun and I’m glad we got the chance to watch it together.

The weekend’s been pretty quiet and uneventful, so that’s a good thing. I am always grateful for the lack of drama. I only like drama in my movies.
And how was your weekend?
